The jury is still deliberating in the Harvey Weinstein case.
They have not sent any notes, requested to review any evidence presented, or asked any questions of the judge such as interpretation of the law.
I do not recall a single case where the jury has not engaged in any manner whatsoever during deliberations.
My thoughts:
1) the selected foreperson has complete control over the jury room,
2) the jury of 8 males, mostly wannabe Hollywood types,
3) someone on the jury, probably the foreperson, has some level of legal knowledge -as the charges are somewhat confusing in how they are worded and defined -and this matter comes down to definitions and interpretation of the law...
The verdict looks like an acquittal based on these factors -if my predictions are true. A wannabe Hollywood lawyer will say "I had no choice under the law"...
...
This is week 2 of deliberations.
