My observations and ramblings on immigration from here to United States:

The vast majority of the locals I speak to have a desire to go to the United States, but through proper and legal channels -visa, green card, work permit, etc. The few that I meet who want to go "through the back door" are the ones who are nefarious.

The economics here is horrible, but it works locally. The biggest problem is the false understanding of the United States. Many here don't understand the major, prohibitive, differences such as the cost of living, a doctor visit, food. That the laws are significantly more serious -here the law is applied mostly reactively i.e. after something happens, in the U.S. many laws have a pro-active element such as conspiracy whether or not the intended crime was even committed. Drinking and driving is illegal here, so is speeding but there are no resources to enforce these laws proactively.

There is also a class of individuals seeking to enter the United States from here, who desire to transport contraband, including human and narcotics. The poverty is rough here so hustles, legal and illegal, are a way of life.

Another class of individuals seeking to enter the United States from here are those from legitimately desperate other nations who begin their journey here but are from places like China, Thailand, and war torn and corrupted nations.

The individuals who seek to enter the United States are almost exclusively unaware of anything that they might face, during their journey or upon arrival. They read the news and accept it as truth unaware of the nuances of the fake media and manipulation. I saw first hand the dangers of this when officials googled me and used the negative blog and social media posts as gospel until I could make some quick calls to clear it up.

Generations of people here have lived in shacks, plied together with plywood and zinc roofing, on stilted foundations built from old vehicle tires and cement. They bathe from a facuet outdoors. They don't typically yearn for the states.

Finally, many individuals are deported here, after a stint in prison, and they bring their gang related bullshit with them. They flock to an area and the violence happens. Many of these individuals, who have already been in United States prisons, simply don't care if they go back because they can manipulate capitalism through crime once again when they return to the states.

I came here lawfully, I sought to embrace the many differences in culture between myself and the locals. It has not been easy. In reverse, lawful migration to the states would be much more difficult. Illegal migration to the states will never be fully possible. The strongest willed individuals will be forced to spend every moment of every day gather necessary documentation, meetings, survival requirements. Those with family will disappear to their loved ones but they will be unable to integrate fully out of paranoia and fear of deportation and fear of government in general which is always a fear regardless of what country you are in at the moment, but especially when you have no idea the laws of the country -which are dramatically different.
