The US Energy Department just released a report to Congress and the White House that says that the most likely origin of the COVID-19 pandemic was due to a laboratory leak.
Trying to mitigate this finding however, they state that "a lab leak" is the "most likely" origin scenario, the Department of Energy has come to this conclusion with "low confidence," and other agencies have reported that the most likely origin was instead through natural transmission.
