When you point that out they claim that you have no empathy for the people who were shot. No, I have empathy for them. I just don't like fake news. If I make a error (and I do, rarely because I try hard to fact check) I delete the post and / or edit it and own up to it. I often will copy/paste the correction to every person who comments (as tedious as that might be depending on the number of commenters).
