Belize wants to create a law that prohibits anonymous social media accounts and pages.

Backstory: an attorney was accused of rape by two thots after a night at a club. The attorney is the conservative political party attorney (not the ruling party at the moment) called United Democratic Party - UDP. The ruling party is People's United Party - PUP.

Anyways, the attorney got ahold of the surveillance footage from the club and it shows the attorney didn't take the girls home, didn't do anything they accused him of. The surveillance video from the club was published by an anonymously ran Facebook page that has 95,000 followers (1/4 the population of Belize and larger than any of Belize's mainstream media houses) said to be, with no evidence, controlled by the attorney and or his party, Called Hot Off The Press. The UDP attorney has not been charged. The ruling PUP have control of all bodies of the Belize government, police, military, etc. but there is countrywide mid term (municipal) election in March and they are likely to lose significant control to the UDP so this scandal might have been good for the PUP if not for the video footage from the club showing the thots were lying whores.
