We are almost done with the editing my footage after trekking through 6 nights in the Darien Gap, 7 nights in a Panama 🇵🇦 immigrations camp, and through Panama 🇵🇦 into Costa Rica 🇨🇷 where we ended our journey and spent a few months recovering (that shit was hell).

The Physical Journey:

Once a week 53+ bus loads of migrants who pass through the Darien Gap are transported from Southern Panama 🇵🇦 to the Southern Costa Rica 🇨🇷 border (where a "state of emergency" is still in effect) by NGOs***.

NGOs in Costa Rica 🇨🇷 picks them up at their border and transports them to Nicaragua 🇳🇮 -who has the same process going north to Honduras 🇭🇳.

From Honduras 🇭🇳 they are then transported by NGOs, border to border to Guatemala 🇬🇹. Where they are again transported border to border to Mexico 🇲🇽 by NGOs.

The only parts of the trip in North America, that are walked are segments in Mexico 🇲🇽 and the Darien Gap into Panama 🇵🇦.

In Mexico 🇲🇽, they are provided NGO support in at least 20 cities along their trek to the United States 🇺🇸 and are offered transportation between many of them free of charge (with large caravans accumulating for each run).

In border to border run is escorted by multiple police officers and / immigrations / customs, etc.

Everything, food, medical, sleeping area, transportation... are provided.
